Kashmir: Unidentified body recovered from Jhelum in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 11 (UNI) An unidentified body was on Saturday recovered from river Jehlum in the down town city, official sources said.

They said panic gripped in Ghat Parimpora area of the down town when some people found a male body in the river. The body was fished out, they said adding later police took away the body for identification. The cause of his death was being ascertained, they said.

Meanwhile, police has sought help to identify the deceased.

This was the second unidentified body recovered from river Jhelum in the valley. Yesterday, a body was recovered at Galandar Pampore in Pulwama district.
