Kashmir: Throat-slit body of 9-year-old girl found in Kupwara

Srinagar/UNI: Body of a 9- year- old girl with her throat slit was found in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.

The body of a minor girl was found on Wednesday evening near her house at Zab Khurhama in Lalpora.

According to the family the girl left home at around 6.40 pm.

"When she didn’t return till late, the villagers started searching for her. Late Wednesday the minor girl's throat slit body was found in a shed," officials said.

Police said the body was sent for medico-legal formalities and investigations have been taken up.
