Kashmir: Gunmen shoot youth to death in Baramulla

Baramulla, July 1 (UNI) A youth was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in this north Kashmir district, official sources said on Monday.

They said 25-year-old Sameer Ahmad Ahanger, a resident of Chesti Colony, was critically wounded when gunmen fired at him at old town Baramulla on Sunday night.

Security forces and police immediately reached the spot and launched a massive search operation in the area.

However, the gunmen had managed to escape.

The injured was immediately rushed to local hospital from where he was referred to SMHS hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.
