Kartarpur corridor won't lead to talks unless Pak stops terror: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Nov 28 (IBNS): Declining any possibility of India's participation at the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit in Pakistan, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday said the Kartarpur corridor won't lead to any bilateral talks unless the neighbouring country stops terrorism, media reports said.

Swaraj said:  "India had been asking for Kartarpur corridor for many years, to which Pakistan has responded positively only now. But it doesn’t mean that bilateral dialogue will start because terror and talks can’t go together."

Kartarpur corridor event:

Two Union Ministers, Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Hardeep Singh Puri, on Wednesday left for Pakistan to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur corridor.

In the ceremony, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of the corridor.

Swaraj, who was invited to attend the event, had expressed her inability to go to Pakistan and nominated Puri and Badal to be present at the ceremony.
