Karnataka: Robbers kill two petrol pump workers, flee with cash

Belagavi, May 15 (UNI) In a brutal incident, robbers murdered two petrol pump workers and fled with a cash of about Rs 50,000 from the petrol station located between Kittur and Dwara in the district late on Tuesday night.

Superintendent of Police Sudhirkumar Reddy told uni that the two workers were on night shift and were sleeping in the petrol station when the robbers attacked them. They slit their throat and decamped with the cash.

The victims have been identified as Musthak Beedi (30), native of Thigadolli village and Manjunath Pattanashetty (28) who belonged to Lingadalli village.

Kittur and Dharwad police officials rushed to the spot.
