Justice Indu Malhotra replaces Justice Ramana in panel probing sexual harassment charges against CJI

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI): Justice Indu Malhotra will replace the three member in-house panel, which will inquire into the sexual harassment allegations leveled by the former junior staff of CJI Ranjan Gogoi against him, after the recusal of Justice N V Ramana from the committee.

Justice Ramana, who is one of the members of the inhouse probe panel investigating the sexual allegations against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, has recused himself.

"Justice NV Ramana, one of the members in the inhouse panel recused," the supreme court sources said.

It is also believed that after his recusal, the third member of panel will be chosen by Justice SA Bobde, who is heading the inhouse probe.

Recusal of Justice Ramana and filling his place with another one would not hinder the inquiry process, which is scheduled to commence from Friday, the source further said.

Justice Bobde headed panel set to inquire from Friday into the sexual harassment allegations leveled by a dismissed former woman employee of SC against CJI.
