JP Nadda holds high level meeting with office-bearers of all wings of BJP

New Delhi, July 7 (UNI) Amid the ongoing nationwide membership drive, BJP working president JP Nadda on Sunday held a high level meeting with office-bearers of all wings (Morcha) of the party.

"BJP National Working President JP Nadda chaired the meeting of office bearers of all morchas at BJP headquarters," the party's official twitter handle said.

According to sources, the three-hour long meeting discussed issues regarding membership drive, upcoming assembly elections in four states, reaching out to people about the announcements in the general Budget and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ahead of the meeting, Nadda paid tribute to Deendayal Upadhyay and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

BJP national general secretaries P Murlidhar Rao, Bhupendra Yadav and Arun Singh were also present.

According to leaders, office-bearers of the party's all fronts, including youth, women, kisan, SC/ST, OBC and minority were present in the meeting and the functioning of these wings were reviewed.

The meeting stressed that membership drive is aiming to enlist people from all sections and the roles of various fronts of the party are important in achieving this.

According to sources, the meeting discussed about the Budget proposals targeting farmers, rural persons, Dalits and tribals and how to take these information to the ground level.

The BJP has claimed that it has 11 crore existing members and is aiming to add 2.5 crore new members through the membership drive.
