Ahmedabad/Junagad, Aug 23 (IBNS): A senior journalist in Gujarat was allegedly murdered in his own office on Monday night, according to media reports.

Kishore Dave, bureau chief of Gujarati newspaper Jai Hind, was working in his office in Junagad (Saurashtra) when he was brutally stabbed to death.

His body was discovered later by an office staff, media reported on Tuesday.

According to local media sources, family members of Kishore Dave have said that the son of a local politician may be behind the crime.

About a year ago, Dave had written about an alleged sexual harassment case against the politician's son and had received death threats, according to the media.

The police sent the journalist's body for postmortem and registered a case but has not mentioned any suspects, media reported.

More details awaited.
