JKPCC delegation calles on J&K Guv

Jammu, Mar 7 (IBNS): A delegation of Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) led by State President Ghulam Ahmad Mir met Governor N.N.Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here on Monday to discuss various issues.
“Important issues which the delegation brought to Governor’s notice included: enhancement in the quantity of rations under NFSA for the poor segments of the population; early regularization of Daily Wagers, need based seasonal and casual workers and other categories of temporary workers,” said an official spokesperson.
 
"Welcoming the announcement of elections to panchayats and urban local bodies, the delegation reiterated Congress party's commitment to strengthening the panchayati raj system in the state," the spokesman said.
 
The Governor assured the delegation that their concerns shall be given due attention.
