J&K: Gun battle in Sopore
Sopore, June 22 (IBNS): A gun battle started between militants and government forces in north Kashmir's Sopore town on Sunday.
According to sources, the joint team of the Army's 52 RR, 22 RR, CRPF and SOG have cordoned off the whole area.
A police officer said two or three militants are believed to be inside a house.
He said that firing is still going on in the area and due to darkness the operation was suspended and will start early morning.
