Jammu and Kashmir: Woman among 4 arrested in rape case

Srinagar, Jun 11 (UNI) Four persons, including a woman, were arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a girl in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, official sources said on Tuesday.

A complaint was lodged by the girl's family in a Sumbal police station in Badgam alleging rape by three persons. The complaint said the girl was raped by a person who made video of the crime. She was later raped by two others after she was blackmailed by the first accused.

Police has registered an FIR no. 106/2019 U/S 376D, 342,506 RPC at Police Station Sumbal and arrested four persons, including a woman, who helped the accused to commit the crime.

The accused have been identified Asghar Hussain sons of Ali Mohammad , Firdous Ahmed son of Ghulam Muhammad, Shabir Rather and Ateeka Begum wife of Ali Muhammad of Nowgam Sumbal.
