Jammu and Kashmir: Woman among 2 died,3 injured in Kupwara accident

Baramulla/UNI: A woman was among two people who died and three injured in a road accident in north Kashmir district of Kupwara on Friday, official sources said.

They said a vehicle collided with a truck at Hatmullah in Kupwara resulting in on the spot death of driver Shabir Ahmad Deedar. Four others, including two women were injured , they said the injured were rushed to a hospital.

One of the injured woman identified as Jana Begum, a resident of Ucher Magam, Handwara, succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. The injured were identified as Dawood Ahmad, Masrat Begum and Ghulam Rasool.

Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings, they added.
