Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar Central Jail upgraded to provide better facilities to inmates

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has upgraded the facilities in the Central Jail of Srinagar city, media reports said.

The administration has set up a welfare block in the facility.

These facilities include an interview block which has sound proof separate cabins for male and female inmates and child friendly corner too for family visits, reports ANI.

Prisoners can also avail other facilities at barber shop, gymnasium, bakery shop, recreational hall and inmate calling service, the Indian news agency reported.

A canteen has also been established in the block for the inmates.
