Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind unable to protest against CAB amid strict stance by admin

Saharanpur, Dec 13 (UNI) Owing to the strict stance of the administration in Sahranpur, the Mahmood Madni-led faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind will not protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).

Official sources on Friday here said that internet services have been shut down in the entire district and people are facing various problems due to it.

Notably, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind had announced that they will protest against the CAB following the afternoon Friday prayers.

Memorandums against the CAB were given by the organisation.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Vidyasagar Mishra was present at the Khanka police station in the Darul Uloom area in Deoband.

District Magistrate Alok Pandey and Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar were present at the Saharanpur District Headquarters. Commissioner Sanjay Kumar, DIG Upendra Agrawal were keeping a close eye on the situation.

On the other hand, Darul Uloom Deoband Vice Chancellor is keeping an eye on the students of the institute.
