Is Mulayam VC of university of secularism ? Nitish Kumar on ex-ally
Nitish Kumar's comment came during a television interview where he was asked to comment on Mulayam Singh Yadav's attack on him recently.
The Samajwadi Party supremo had attacked Nitish Kumar for his past association with the BJP."Who is secular? People who ran the government with the BJP's support for 12 years? They are secular all of a sudden?," was his remark.
Nitish Kumar said in reply : ""is a Vice Chancellor of the University of Secularism....and are we just research scholars?"
In June this year, Nitish Kumar, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Lalu Prasad of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress announced a "Grand Alliance" to take on the BJP and its partners for the state Assembly election.
But Mulayam Singh exited the team on September 3, complaining over being offered only five of Bihar's 243 seats to contest.
