Indore: 4 die in temple stepwell collapse incident, 19 rescued

Indore/IBNS: Four people died after a stepwell at a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Indore collapsed on Thursday, media reports said.

Nineteen people have been rescued.

The roof of the stepwell in Baleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Indore collapsed during the Ram Navami festival.

Twenty five people were feared to have fallen inside.

Mourning at the deaths, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Extremely pained by the mishap in Indore. Spoke to CM @ChouhanShivraj
Ji and took an update on the situation.

"The State Government is spearheading rescue and relief work at a quick pace. My prayers with all those affected and their families."
