Amroha, Apr 29 (UNI) Hasin Jahan, estranged wife of cricketer Mohammed Shami, has been detained by police for making a forced entry into the latter's house.

Sources said here on Monday that Hasin was taken into custody on the complaint of Shami's family. She has been lodged at the district hospital.

Hasin, along with her daughter Bebo, entered the house of Shami on Sunday evening and got into a major argument with Shami's mother and brother.

Later, police was called and on the written complaint of the mother of Shami, Hasin was taken into custody.

Hasin and Shami are engaged in a bitter court battle after Hasin alleged that Shami was in a relationship with another girl.

A case was also lodged against Shami in Kolkata.
