India stands with France in fight against terrorism: PM Modi
New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in France including "the heinous attack that took place inside a church in Nice."
PM Modi also asserted that India stands with France in the fight against terrorism.
A woman was beheaded and two others killed by an attacker at a church in the southern French city of Nice on Thursday, police said.
In a tweet, PM Modi wrote: "I strongly condemn the recent terrorist attacks in France, including today's heinous attack in Nice inside a church."
"Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people of France. India stands with France in the fight against terrorism," he said.

Earlier in the day, India deplored the personal attacks on French President Emmanuel Macron, who has been accused of Islamophobia by several Muslim nations for his actions in the aftermath of the killing of a French teacher, who was beheaded for showing a caricature of founder of Islam Prophet Muhammad to his students.
India's Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said, "We strongly deplore the personal attacks in unacceptable language on President Emmanuel Macron in violation of the most basic standards of international discourse.
"We also condemn the brutal terrorist attack that took the life of a French teacher in a gruesome manner that has shocked the world."
"There is no justification for terrorism for any reason or under any circumstance," the statement added.
Thanking India for the support, French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenain tweeted, "Thank you India. France and India can always count on each other in the fight against terrorism."
