India rejects arrested ex-naval officer's 'video confession' in Pakistan
New Delhi, Mar 29 (IBNS): The government on Tuesday rejected the "video confession" of a former naval officer arrested on charges of espionage in Pakistan, media reports said.
According to a NDTV report, the government sources claimed that this arrest was an attempt by Islamabad to deflect attention from its own accountability for terror attacks in India.
The former naval officer, Kulbhushan Yadav, recorded a six-minute-long statement where he said that he is working for India's top intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and that he is still with the Indian navy.
The video was released by Pakistani government officials on Tuesday, a week after his arrest.
Meanwhile, a Pakistani probe team is in India for investigating the Pathankot terror attack.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) chief said on Tuesday that the Pakistani probe team did not meddle with anything, and said that they will question the probe team on Wednesday.
The NIA will ask for access to Pakistani terrorist Masood Azhar, according to reports.
However, Pakistan have already said that Azhar is missing from the country.
