'I wish him the very best': PM Modi after Bhajan Lal Sharma takes oath as Rajasthan CM

Jaipur/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished Bhajan Lal Sharma who took oath as the Rajasthan Chief Minister on Friday.

Modi posted on X, "Birthday greetings to Rajasthan's CM Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma Ji. A dedicated Party Karyakarta for years, he has made commendable efforts to strengthen BJP across the state.

"As he embarks on his Chief Ministerial journey, I wish him the very best in fulfilling people's aspirations."

Bhajan Lal Sharma on Friday took oath as the Rajasthan Chief Minister days after the BJP registered a sweeping victory in the desert state.

Along with Sharma, Diya Kumari and senior leader Prem Chand Bairwa took oath as the Deputy Chief Ministers.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh among others.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje was also present.

The BJP defeated Congress to return to power in Rajasthan in the recently concluded Assembly polls.

In the 199-seat assembly, the BJP won 115 seats as opposed to Congress' 69 seats.
