Himachal Pradesh: Three die in road accidents

Shimla, Jun 23 (UNI) Three people were killed and as many injured in two separate road accidents in Himachal Pradesh, police sources said on Sunday. 

In one incident, the deceased were traveling on bike when a boulder hit them from behind at Panginalah in Kinnaur district, killing the two on the spot.


The deceased, who hailed from Punjab, were identified as Ishan and Sunil Kumar.


Police sent the bodies to post-mortem and also informed their family members.


In a separate accident took place on Saturday night at Nautikhad in Shimla district, one person died and three injured when their car fell into the deep gorge.


The victim were rushed to hospital at Suni where Hari Sharma, 65, succumbed to his injuries.


Superintendent of Police (SP), Shimla, Om Pati Jamwal, said, "The three injured persons were identified as Surt Ram, Hira Lal and Tek Chand, adding that the body were brought to IGMC hospital Shimla for post-mortem.
