Himachal Pradesh: 7 die after vehicle falls in rivulet

Mandi/UNI: Seven people were killed when a vehicle carrying eight passengers fell into a rivulet in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Monday, a police officer confirmed.

Six people died on the spot, while two injured were taken to a zonal hospital Mandi. One of them succumbed to his injuries on the way, the police said.

Ill-fated Mahindra pickup fell into Suketi Khud at Pulghrat near Mandi at around 0230 hrs.

The police have registered a case under IPC sections 279 (rash driving), 338 (causing grievous hurt to any person) and 304 A (causing death by negligence).
