Haryana rapes: 3 member committee constituted

Panchkula, Dec 27 (IBNS) The Haryana government on Saturday said it has constituted a three-member committee to investigate into the alleged incident of sexual assault of women near Murthal in Sonipat area of the state during the recent agitation by the people belonging to the Jat community over the issue of reservation.

"3 member committee constituted by Govt.to gather info.re:alleged incident of sexual assault near Murthal is investigating matter thoroughly," Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted.

He said actions will taken against those found guilty of committing the alleged crime.

"Efforts are being made to identify those involved in the alleged incident, as the strictest possible action would be taken against them," the CM said.

The committee has been formed amid reports that several were sexual assaulted during the protests which hit the state recently.
