New Delhi: United States Defence Secretary Lloyd J Austin described his interaction with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval as 'great'.

" Great meeting with National Security Advisor Doval last night. The breadth of collaboration between our two nations reflects the significance of our Major Defense Partnership as we work together to address the most pressing challenges facing the Indo-Pacific region," he tweeted.

The US leader arrived in India as part of his three-nation first overseas tour as the Defence Secretary.  

Before arriving in New Delhi, he went to Japan and South Korea.

He met Indian PM Narendra Modi after arriving in India.
