Gurugram woman stabs live-in partner to death after fight over visits to his wife, children
Gurugram: A woman in Gurugram allegedly stabbed her live-in partner amid an ongoing conflict over his visits to his wife and children.
The man, who sustained a stab wound to the chest, died during treatment, NDTV reported.
Harish, 42, a resident of Baliyavas in Gurugram, was in a relationship with 27-year-old Yashmeet Kaur from Delhi's Ashok Vihar.
The two had been living together in DLF Phase-3 for over a year.
Kaur would often argue with Harish — who was married with children — over his visits to his family.
On Saturday, one such altercation escalated, and she stabbed him with a knife, the report said.
He was taken to a hospital in Gurugram but succumbed to his injuries.
Hours before the incident, Harish’s nephew Bharat said his uncle returned home from work in Faridabad, took Rs 7 lakh from him, and left with another man, Vijay, who had arrived to pick him up, according to the report.
Later that night, Harish called Bharat around 10 pm, asking him to collect and pay for a food order.
The next morning around 7 am, Bharat said Kaur called him and informed him of Harish’s death.
“Harish had a stab injury on his chest,” he added, reported NDTV.
Kaur has been arrested, and the knife used in the stabbing has been seized.
Vijay is being questioned by police, who are also probing the reason behind Harish taking Rs 7 lakh on the night of the incident.
