Grenade attack in J&K, CISF jawan injured

Srinagar, Dec 7 (IBNS) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address his first election rally in Srinagar on Monday, suspected militants hurled grenade on a CISF party at Noorpora Tral in Pulwama district of south Kashmir which left at least one jawan injured on Sunday evening.

According to sources, militants targeted Central Industrial Security Forces near Higher Secondary School Noorpora Village.

Sources further said that the party of the CISF was on an election duty Pulwama  where polling will take place on Dec 9 as the state is gearing up fore the third phase of elections.

Meanwhile, a senior police official told IBNS: "The entire area has been cordoned off and search operation has been launched to nab the attackers."

This comes after four serial terror attacks rocked Kashmir on Friday resulting in the death of several  people including 11 security personnel.
