Goa: Abhishek Banerjee offers prayer at Rudreshwar Temple

Panaji:  All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee offered prayers and sought blessings at Rudreshwar Temple in Sanquelim in Goa on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters, Banerjee said he prayed for the progress and prosperity of Goa.

"As we step into the new year, we are certain that Goa will see a new dawn rise," the TMC MP said.

Trinamool Congress has announced that it will contest the upcoming assembly elections in the state in alliance with Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP).

The assembly elections in Goa are likely to be held early next year.

The Trinamool party tweeted: "Our National General Secretary Shri
@abhishekaitc is in Goa for a two-day visit.

"He began the day by offering prayers and seeking blessings at Shri Rudreshwar temple," he said.
