Girl's death due to snake bite: DDE suspends school Principal
Wayanad, Nov 22 (UNI) Following the death of fifth standard student Shehla Sherin due to snake bite inside the classroom of Sarvodaya VHSS in Sulthan Bathery near here on Wednesday, the Deputy Director of Education (DDE) Ibrahim Thonikara on Friday suspended th School principal A K Karunakaran and headmaster K K Mohanan.
The DDE had also dissolved the Parent-Teachers Association (PTA) of the school. Finding fault in delaying medical care, the DDE had suspended the class teacher on Thursday.
The Education department will initiate action against other teachers after getting the report from District Education Officer, sources in the DDE's office said.
Meanwhile, the Sulthan Bathery Municipal authorities had come out with their explanation that the classroom where holes were noticed and the entire building was a structure proposed for demolition.
