Four terrorists killed in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Mar 28 (IBNS): Security forces have killed four foreign militants, who had intruded from across the Line of Control in Sunderbani sector,  in  Rajouri district on Wednesday .
 

The encounter that  started early morning lasted for more than eight hours before the militants could be neutarlised.

The Army, BSF and  CRPF  launched  a joint operation against the militants who retreated into forests in the Sunderbani sector .

The encounter ended after a heavy exchange of fire between the two sides.

The reports reaching here said that the bodies have been recovered and search operations are continuing .

The militants were first spotted on Tuesday and the searches had started  since then.

But the contact was made this morning after the militants attempted to  attack a CRPF camp in Sunderbani area.

The attack was repulsed by alert guards.

Conforming the killing of the terrorists, Jammu and Kashmir police chief SP Vaid tweeted:  "4 Terrorists killed in joint operation in Sunderbani Rajouri. It was a group recently infiltrated from LOC. Great job boys."
