Former CM Virbhadra Singh hospitalised in Shimla after chest congestion

Shimla, Aug 7 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was admitted to Indra Gandhi Medical College Hospital, here after chest congestion, on Wednesday.

IGMC Senior Medical Officer Dr Janak Raj told UNI that Mr Singh was undergoing medical examination and was reportedly stable.

The 87-year-old was staying at his native place Rampur in this district on Tuesday, where his health deteriorated and he was brought to his residence at Holylodge, here on Wednesday morning.

He was rushed to IGMC at 1400 hrs.

Doctors, who examined Singh, was terming the treatment as a routine check-up.
