Srinagar, June 6 (IBNS) : Four labourers were injured in a mysterious explosion in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, about 30 kms from the summer capital Srinagar on Monday, police said.

The blast, which was not severe in nature, took place at Sonmarg when the BEACON labourers from Jharkhand were working at a road construction site.

Police said one of the injured in a critical condition.

A senior police official said that all the injured, who were working with Border Roads Organisation, have been shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for treatment.

Soon, after the blast, local police rushed to the spot.

“We are investigating into the incident. However, the minor explosion is believed to have been caused by blasting materials used by the labourers for road construction,” said the official.
