Miles away from the Indian town of Ayodhya where the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple was held on Monday in the presence of PM Narendra Modi, another temple dedicated to the Hindu deity was established in the Mexican city of Queretaro.

An American priest conducted the consecration ceremony on Sunday in the presence of a large number of Indian diaspora members who chanted hymns and sang devotional songs to mark the occasion in the country.

According to reports, the idol was brought from India.

Indian Embassy in Mexico shared glimpses of the idol on its X page and wrote: " On the eve of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at Ayodhya, city of Queretaro in Mexico gets the first Lord Ram temple. Queretaro also hosts the first Lord Hanuman temple in Mexico."

"The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony was performed by an American Priest with Mexican hosts & the idols brought from India. The atmosphere was filled with divine energy as the hymns & songs sung by the Indian diaspora reverberated throughout the hall," the post said.
