Farmer organisations call off three-day 'dharna'

Moga , May 11(UNI) All the seven farmer organisations on Saturday announced postponement of its proposed three-day 'dharna' in Patiala from 12 to 14 May as the ryots were busy in harvesting.

After a meeting, Sukhdev Singh Kokri general secretary Bhartiya Kissan Union (Ekta) said here the organisations would now meet here on May 20 and decided the next face of Patiala dharna.

Kokri also said that the 'dharna' would be organised in protest against the anti-farmers policy of the state government.
