EPS, OPS betrayed people of Tamil Nadu: TTV Dinakaran

| @indiablooms | Sep 12, 2017, at 07:17 pm
Chennai, Sep 12 (IBNS): Reacting to the expulsion of Sasikala as the general secretary of the AIADMK, party leader TTV Dinakaran said both Tamil Nadu's present and former chief ministers, E Palaniswamy and O Paneerselvam respectively, betrayed the people of Tamil Nadu with lies and cheats, media reports said.

The EPS-OPS camps on Tuesday passed a resolution to quash all appointees after the death of former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalitha and also dismissed decisions taken by Dinakaran in the party.

Dinakaran, who had been sidelined by the latest development in the AIADMK, termed it as "a small huddle".

Making a scathing attack on EPS, Dinakaran said: "He made the party full of cheats and ruined everything what Amma (late J Jayalalitha) stood for."

"Everyone knows party can't function without Amma (late J Jayalalitha)" Dinakran added.

Sasikala, now in jail,  became the interim general secretary following former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha's death.

However, she has not been expelled from the party.

The ongoing political slug fest in TN and inside the AIDMK will further deepen if Sasikala's nephew Dinakaran withdraws the support of his own camp to the E Palaniswami government leading to the party falling short of the majority to form the government.

Dinakaran revealed that he has met Tamil Nadu governor C. Vidyasagar Rao on September 7, who said he needs time to take a good decision regarding the functioning of the government.

"It is the responsibility of the governor to ask the government to prove the majority" Dinakran said.

Dinakran even dared to ask the EPS-OPS camps to call an election to prove the majority. "Lets go back to the public and face an election and then we will know who is the real AIADMK."
