Encounter between security forces and suspected militants underway in Tral of Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 9 (IBNS): A fierce gunfight erupted between suspected militants and security forces in Tral area of Pulwama South Kashmir on Wednesday .

According to reports, security forces took charge after receiving information about the presence of some militants in Gulabagh village of Tral.

"Soon after forces zeroed in the houses, suspected militants opened fire on forces which led to fierce gunfight," a police official said.

Authorities suspended mobile Internet services in Pulwama district to prevent the “spreading of rumours”.
