Elaborate security arrangement for President Kovind visit to Sri Jagannath temple

ADG Yashwant Jethua on the Sunday inspected the Sri Jagannath temple security corridor and helipad and discussed with the DIG and SP regarding the security arrangements and a mock drill of a carcade from helipad to srimandir was also conducted.

One hour before the president's visit to the Sri Jagannath temple ,the complex would be cleared of devotees.
Except servitors on duty none would be allowed into the temple during his stay.

The administration had discussed with the servitors in this regard about arrangements for the president's visit to srimandir.

Barricades would be raised on both the sides of the road enroute from Helipad to Srimandir including Badadanda. Similar arrangements were made at Konark

As per programme the President and first lady would arrive at Puri helipad at 8.55am and would reach temple gate at about 9.05 am by car.

Jagannath temple administrator Krishan Kumar, District magistrate Samarth Verma and the President’s family panda Narayan Gochhikar would escort the couple inside the temple.

After spending about forty minutes they would return to the helipad and fly to Konark at 10.05 am. T

The President and first lady would visit Sun Temple at Konark at 10.55 am and return to Konark Yatri nivas at 11.15am. They would take lunch at Yatri nivas and after rest the President would return to Bhubaneswar from Konark helipad on the way to New Delhi.

This would be his second visit to Puri temple as President of India.
