Agra, Jun 28 (UNI) Eight people, including two children and a woman were killed, while 40 others sustained serious injuries in a road mishap at Fatehabad area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, on Friday morning.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Fatehabad area Prabhat Kumar, a bus was carrying labourers from Sitamarhi in Bihar to Jaipur, when it rammed into a stationary truck on a roadside at the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Fatehabad area.

Five people, including a minor were killed on-the-spot, while 40 others were injured, who were then rushed to a hospital.

The DSP said that three more people, including a woman and child, succumbed to their injuries, while undergoing treatment.

Kumar said the bus passengers were going to Rajasthan to work as labourers, along with their family and the injured people could not identify or furnish details about the deceased, as all the labourers belonged to different areas of Sitamarhi.
