New Delhi: Bollywood icon Aamir Khan has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 'National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat @100', media reports said.

Khan said "Mann Ki Baat" is an important piece of communication through which Prime Minister Narendra Modi connects with citizens, a report in the media said.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated a one-day meeting in New Delhi, with Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur as the guest of honour.

On April 30, Prime Minister’s "Mann Ki Baat" will complete its 100th episode.

Praising the initiative, Aamir Khan said effective leadership involves clear communication, where leaders share their vision for the future and how they want the support of the people to achieve it.

When asked if the Prime Minister only discusses his personal thoughts in the radio show, the Bollywood celebrity replied that it was up to him since he was the one hosting the program.

The actor further added that this was the Prime Minister's way of listening to the voice of the people and connecting with citizens throughout the nation and that it was a significant effort.

During the conclave, Aamir Khan is also scheduled to attend a panel called "Awahan Se Jan Andolan".
