Drug peddler arrested, 2 kg charas, bhung recovered in Srinagar outskirts

Srinagar, Mar 15 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police in its drive against the drug menace arrested a peddler and recovered about two kg of charas and bhung in the city outskirts, a police spokesman said Friday evening.

He said acting on a specific information a naka Zakoora area of city outskirts during which one drug peddler identified as Nisar Ahmad Res son of Manzoor Ahmad, resident of Khimber was intercepted.

During his frisking about two kg of charas and bhung were recovered from his possession.

Continuing its drive against the drug menace, a police party from police station Zakora arrested a drug peddler namely Nisar Ahmad ResS/O Manzor Ahmad R/O Khimber and recovered one Kg 900 gms bhung & 50 gms proceessed charas from his possession.

He said the accused was arrested on the spot and contraband seized.

In this regard case FIR No. 08/2019 Act was registered in Police Station Zakora and investigation has been initiated.
