Dr. Abdul Momen meets Sushma Swaraj, India-Bangladesh sign four documents

New Delhi, Feb 8 (IBNS):  Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Momen on Friday met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in Delhi.

Four documents were signed and exchanged between the two countries in the presence of the foreign ministers of the neighbouring nations.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar posted: "Time-tested good neighbourly relations based on trust & mutual understanding. EAM @SushmaSwaraj welcomed Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Momen ahead of #IndiaBangladesh Joint Consultative Commission. Our solid ties have their genesis in War of Liberation of Bangladesh."

Meanwhile, the MoUs signed between the two nation include 'MoU between the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India and The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Bangladesh', 'MoU between National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), Mussoorie and Ministry of Public Administration (MOPA), Bangladesh on Training and Capacity building Programme for Bangladesh Civil Servants', 'MoU on Co-operation in the field of Medicinal Plants between National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB), Ministry of AYUSH and Directorate General of health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Bangladesh' and 'MoU by and between Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority and Nidar Industrial Park Pune (Private) Limited, Hiranandani Group'.

Dr. Abdul Momen is currently on his visit to India.

He met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
