Donkeys work for masters, so I take inspiration from them : PM Modi hits back at Akhilesh Yadav

Baharaich, Uttar Pradesh, Feb 23 (IBNS) : Three days after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's "donkey" slight, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday responded, saying he takes inspiration from the animal because it is loyal to the master, reports said.

"Can understand if Akhilesh attacks me or BJP, but he has attacked donkeys even though they are thousan of kms away. He is afraid of donkeys of Gujarat...he doesn't know that donkeys are loyal to their masters. I take inspiration from them and work for people day and night," Modi said while addressing a rally in Bahraich.

"Donkeys never differentiate and I am surprised you hate them so much," he said.

"The hatred you exhibit is unbecoming", the PM said, while warning  that his alliance with the Congress "will sink you too."

His remarks came in response to Akhilesh Yadav's sarcastic comment that actor Amitabh Bachchan should stop appearing in the Gujarat Tourism advertisements which show donkeys of Gujarat.

The PM also slammed the  the ruling Samajwadi Party for poor law and order situation in the state.

"People do not trust the law and order in Uttar Pradesh, women feel unsafe while stepping out of their homes even in broad daylight. MLAs of your party are accused in heinous crimes and Akhilesh ji you are asking votes for them. UP doesn't deserve such Government,"  he said.
