Devendra Fadnavis, Baba Ramdev practice Yoga with 1.10 lakh people in Nanded

Nanded, June 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Baba Ramdev celebrated the 5th International Yoga Day(IYD) along with around 1.10 lakh people,who performed Yoga at the Shivratna Jiwaji Mahale Mama Chowk here on Friday.

Addressing the huge crowd, Fadnavis said,"Due to efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,now the International Yoga Day is celebrated all over the world."

He further stated, "Yoga helps us to maintain our physical as well as mental fitness."

Appreciating Baba Ramdev, Mr Fadnavis remarked that he displayed the rich tradition of Yoga and Indian culture on the global arena.

Extending gratitude towards the CM for organizing the grandiose Yoga function here,Baba Ramdev showcased Yoga skills over next two hours.

Other prominent persons who participated in the function and performed Yoga include BJP MP Prataprao Govindrao Chikhalikar and District Collector Arun Dongre.

Golden Book of World Records representative Manish Bishnoee certified the Yoga Camp as a World Record as the number of participants in this year's event surpassed that of 4th IYD,---91,000, which was witnessed last year.
