Delhi: Woman, son shot at in Kanjhawla

New Delhi , Jun 28 (UNI) The victims of the firing incident that took place in Kanjhawla in the early hours on Friday , Rajrani and her son Netrapal of Jauntily village are undergoing treatment at Saroj Hospital.

Netrapal's condition is stated to be serious while Rajrani is stable.

They were attacked by a known assailant , Netrapal's cousin and the reason behind the attack is said to be a property dispute.

Police teams have been deployed to apprehend the accused , police said.

As per local sources , the lady injured is said to be a BJP worker.

The absconding relative had come early Friday morning and shot the mother-son duo . The lady got a bullet in her leg while Netrapal got a shot in the hand and stomach.

Meanwhile , there has been an upsurge in the firing incidents in the capital in the past couple of weeks while law and order concerns are being raised by Delhi Government whereas former CM Delhi Sheila Dikshit also met LG on Thursday regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in the capital.
