Delhi: Teen raped in a car in Vasant Vihar, three arrested
New Delhi: Three persons have been arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in a car in Vasant Vihar area, police said on Friday.
A case under relevant sections of POCSO and IPC has been registered at Vasant Vihar Police Station.
According to police, it received a PCR call at Vasant Vihar PS at around 4 am on July 8 regarding harrassment of a girl.
The caller stated that on July 6 at around 8:30 pm his daughter who is 16-year-old along with three persons went for a ride in a car from the Vasant Vihar area and came back the next morning around 7 am.
She reported the same to her parents late evening on July 7, then she was taken late night to hospital, said a Senior Delhi Police official.
On examination through the women councillors, the victim stated that two known boys who had met her near Vasant Vihar market at about 8:30 pm on July 6, offered her a joy ride with one other boy who came with his car there, said Delhi Police.
All four drove the car and went to Mahipalpur where they bought liquor and consumed it.
Thereafter they went with the girl to a lonely place where two boys allegedly committed the crime inside the car, said Delhi Police.
The girl got medically examined and a case under relevant sections of POCSO and IPC has been registered.
All three accused have been arrested and the car has been seized.
The statement of the victim has been recorded and further investigation is on to clarify the facts, Delhi Police added.
