Delhi: Man shoots woman outside her house, kills himself when police try to arrest him

New Delhi/IBNS: A 42-year-old woman was shot to death by a man in Dabri area of southwest Delhi on Thursday evening, media reports said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) M Harshvardhan said as quoted by NDTV, "Around 8:45 pm on Wednesday, under the Dabri police station, we got information that a 42-year-old woman was shot dead near her house.

"The woman was identified as Renu. She was a housewife living with her family in the Vaishali colony area under Dabri Police Station."

"We found that Renu and Ashish met in a gym nearly 2-3 years back. Further investigation is on," he added.

When police reached the house of the accused- named Ashish (25)- to arrest him, the latter killed himself.
