New Delhi/UNI: The Delhi Police Crime Branch will investigate the shootout incident that happened at Rohini courtroom here a day ago, officials said Saturday.

The police personnel have been deployed outside Rohini Court in the wake of a shootout incident that occurred inside the courtroom.

In the shootout, gangster Jitender Mann alias Gogi was shot dead along with his attackers. The incident occurred in a courtroom when Gogi was being presented before the judge, police said.

Police said the attackers had come dressed as lawyers and opened fire on the gangster and killed him. In the ensuing shootout, police personnel killed both the attackers. The attackers are believed to be from Tillu gang. Gogi was arrested from Gurugram by the Special Cell two years ago.

After the incident, lawyers said that it has once again exposed the security lapse at Rohini Court complex where gangster Gogi was killed by his rival gang members.

Advocates are now demanding tighter security arrangements to be placed in the complex.

Senior lawyers also said that staff should also be screened all the time given the fact that assailants donned the attire of advocates during the incident.
