Delhi court sends person arrested in Air India Urination case to 14 day judicial custody

New Delhi/UNI/IBNS: A Delhi Court after a hearing ordered a 14 day judicial custody to accused Shankar Mishra on the allegations of urinating on a woman passenger in Air India flight between New York and Delhi.

It is alleged that Mishra had urinated on a 70 year old woman in an intoxicated condition in business class of an Air India flight on November, 26, 2022.

Delhi Police has registered an FIR under various sections of Indian Penal Code and Indian Aircraft Act against Mishra and arrested Mishra from Bengaluru.

Metropolitan Magistrate Anamika after rejecting the plea of Delhi Police seeking police remand passed an order to 14 days judicial custody.

Police have submitted that Shankar Mishra has been non-cooperative and was deliberately not joining the investigation.

Counsel for Mishra moved a bail application on behalf of Mishra which was listed by the court for January 11.
