Degree no criteria, honesty is: AAP on PM's educational qualification

New Delhi, Apr 29 (IBNS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who on Thursday had written to the Central Information Commission (CIC) demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational qualification be made public, received support from his party as it said that the degree hardly matters but honesty does.

"A degree is certainly not the biggest criteria to be PM, but honesty and integrity are," the Aam Aadmi Party tweeted on Friday.

Floating tweets with the hashtag #DegreeDikhaoModiJi, it said, "The nation actually wants to know. We would rather seek your education than chest measurement."

Questioning the Prime Minister's integrity, it said, "The represented must know how educated their representative is, why does Modi Ji hide truth?"

Kejriwal has also accused the Commission of trying to hide facts about the prime minister.

While contesting the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi had declared that he has a BA degree from the Delhi University and a Master's from the Gujarat University.
