DC Jammu reviews Aadhaar enrollment, golden card registration process

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sushma Chauhan Monday chaired a meeting to discuss the issues pertaining to Aadhaar enrolment and golden card registration of eligible people under AYUSHMAAN BHARAT scheme.

Director Postal Services, Gaurav Shrivastava; Program officer ICDS Jammu, Natasha Kalsotra; all Sub-Divisional Magistrates of the district, Lead District Manager; Suresh Raina besides other senior officers attended the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the objective is to ensure 100% aadhaar coverage in district Jammu within a specific time frame adding that around 6.5 lakh people would be covered      in      a      mission      mode      through      biometric      generation      centres. Under  the  AYUSHMAAN  BHARAT  scheme  the  eligible  beneficiary  households  are entitled for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh after it is issued the Golden card.

The card is made available at various public service centres and the applicants have to pay Rs 30 as fee for the Card.

The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon all the Sub-Divisional Magistrates to file report about the registrations done on a daily basis adding that around 33 public service centres have been established in the district .

She further said that Master data should be distributed among all CSE operators for ensuring better service delivery.
