Jaipur/IBNS: The Rajasthan political crisis has reemerged and Congress general secretary in charge for the state  Ajay Maken and KC Venugopal, general secretary (organisation) arrived in Jaipur on Saturday and held a meeting with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, who have been involved in a standoff, according to media reports.

In the meeting, Pilot was present with his group of MLAs, demanding their inclusion in the state cabinet.

Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra called a meeting of 25 MLAs to discuss cabinet expansion today in the morning.

"We're discussing the cabinet expansion, appointment of district and block-level chiefs of Congress and appointments in boards and corporations with our leaders. Everyone has said they would accept what leadership decides," Maken was quoted saying by news agency ANI today after the meeting.

Maken said a decision on Cabinet expansion will be taken doon, Maken said, according to the report.

Last year, Pilot, along with 18 MLAs, had rebelled against the leadership of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Last week, Pilot had said that he has conveyed his issues to the party high command and soon steps will be taken to address them.

The MLAs from Pilot camp said last month that the promises made to him should be kept, after which the demand for cabinet expansion and political appointments gained momentum.

The Rajasthan Cabinet can have a maximum of 30 ministers, of which 21 are filled and 9 are still vacant.
